Back to the history between 1894-96 in the oldest district of Tbilisi – Vera, great architect Alexander Ozerov designed and built a beautiful and unique Ghvinis Karkhana N1 (ღვინის ქარხანა | Wine Factory).

During many years it was closed for any visitors. But in 2017 it became as a new multifunction city space for citizens and tourists.

“Ghvinis Karkhana” is a huge project what offers a great variety of ideas, such as: flower bazaar, flea market, open cinema, restaurants, bars and cafes, night pre-club, office space, culinary school, the biggest wine bazaar & degustation class, show room & concept store with Georgian designers and products, art space, fitness-space, bakery (Tone), street food space- organized in 5 old wine barrels …

But the Soul of Karkhana is a breathtaking ancient wine repository, in antiquity, what kept over 100 years wines and cognac from the Napoleon’s and Stalin’s collection.

Ghvinis Karkhana open all over the year and ready to host the guests from 12PM to 1 AM daily.

ART PASSAGE - the space on -1 level for exhibitions and events

STREET FOOD - These 5 barrels – which featured in Iosseliani’s Falling Leaves – have been restored and put on public display for delicious street food (6 different concepts). Beauty and history. Also cool public spot, where you can get cup of tea and read a book in quiet.
